Could my timing have slipped?

I recently installed a 3k gsk, and I am assuming it is installed right becuase it spins right past 3k, and idles great. Over the past couple of days it doesn't seem to hit as hard, and makes alot of heat. Egt's are out of control even in 3rd gear. Whadya think?

Im not sure about slipped timing, but when I went and checked my truck it had slipped a little. The symptoms were alot of whitish grey smoke, and it was hard starting in the mornings when it was cold.
Since I re-timed it to 16.5 nothing but black smoke on WOT and easier starts.
