Both are pretty straight foreward and not hard to do. If your take the fuel filter housing loose, the LP is pretty easy to get to. One of our members installed a Scotty fuel line kit last Sunday, and it too was pretty straight foreward and had really good instructions with pictures.
If you are any of your Buds have any wreanching ability at all, you should be able to do both in a couple of hours or so. Otherwise, any good mechanic should be able to do it.

I hear the going rate is around 2 6-packs
I'm not mechanically inclined at all and I did it in a day. You're removing and replacing hoses and banjo bolts plus a pump or two. If I can do it anyone can.

Any speed shop would do it I'd assume.

Took me about an hour and half, two guys one that knew what he was doing (that one wan't me)

The only part that is kind of "point of no return" is cutting into your fuel line back by the tank. This went smmothly for me with a tiny tubing cutter, like one you would use for 1/2" and less copper pipe.

I saw if you have a flat/dry surface to park the truck on and a 5 gallon pail to catch the small amount of diesel you'll spill, Go for it.

The instructions that came with my Vulcan kit were very easy to follow, I'm sure Scotty's instructions aren't in greek either.

To answer your question, as I realized none of us have......

I would guess about 2 hrs. @ $55.00 per hour.

I suppose shop rates vary by location, around here they are between $55 and $65.00

HAHA. That's what I said. Hour and a half, two hours later I was finished. If certain members would leave the tools where I placed them instead of taking them and putting them back I would have been done sooner.

It really is very simple. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the hardest, I put it at a 2.5. The hardest part of it is just fitting your hands and the wrench down in there to loosen and tighten the stuff.

The only problem I had was getting enough room to remove the line from the top of the tank. I removed the driveshaft in order to get my big Edithead up there to see what I was doing ( hense the longer install time ) also I soildered allmy electrical connections and used rubber cushion clamps to hold the neew larger lines to the frame.
