Pretty sure ARP recommends 90# w/ their moly lube which is 75% of the 12mm stud tensile strength. I used the moly lube and went to 120#, then retorqued after about 400 miles.

OK...torque the nuts to 122lbft, got it. How tight do you go with the stud itself?

i heard for the stud take it all the way to the bottom then back it out 1/4 to 1/3 of a turn.

also heard its a very GOOD idea to bottom tap the holes in the block. i ordered my bottom taps last night

well i just installed mine last week and my instructions said

50#first then 100# then 125# w/ arp supplied moly lube.i was told (by haisley machine) that the bolts i have are of a new material.you should definately use a bottoming tap to clean out the holes. the studs should bottom out at the bottom of the hole, and do not torque the studs was a stressed factor in the manual just snug against tha bottom of the hole. and re torque the nuts once a week till head gasket is properly seated. arghhhh what a pain that is. but much better than the alternative!!!!

good luck!!!!!!!!!!
