Question Converting to diesel?

Hey fellas, whats up? I'm a new member from jersey. I have a1998 c6500 chevy, gas 366 engine, 4 door, flat bed. Its a good running truck, that's easy to work on. My truck has 100000 miles. I wanted to run it for another 50-60000 miles then sell it or convert it to diesel. Does anyone know what the cost is to change my truck to a
duramax or cat diesel?

Let me get this straight.... You want to convert your CHEVY Gasser to a DURAMAX DIESEL.... And you came to the biggest
DODGE CUMMINS DIESEL SITE

A cummins swap would be easiest engine to swap in. Tons of threads on the build. Even diesel power had a conversion going for awhile.

A 12V 5.9L cummins and a NV4500 would be a hot ticket. If you want an auto try to find a RH47. The electronic stuff works well but there are a few more things to tweak.

A duramax swap would be pricey swap, its easier to just buy a new truck
