comp box or injectors

my truck has alot of miles and the original IP I have a FASS fuel pump and an EZ. Should I put injectors to get more power or go ahead and get the comp. I worried about tapping into the IP since its old. My injectors are stock as well. Both have never been changed.

I would put in some mach 4 injectors. That would give you a much greater power gain. That will make a night and day difference.

Wow ain't ya proud of that 436?

All jokes aside I'd look for some small injectors. You might even see a bump in mileage =P Plan on putting some of your tax return into the tranny if you want more.

You'd think that sigs would not need to be so ostentatious...

Mach 2s are a great injector for all around power and MPG.

M4s are great too-- lotsa power, but not as clean and not as versatile (towing).

So Mach 1.6 or 2? Hohn, Dan?... Or no real difference?
Then of course nobody runs 3 since 4 is so close... still trying to decide.

What do you do with the truck? Daily Driver? Pull trailers?

If you're over the age of 60 and/or tow more than 20K, I'd get the 1.6s.

Otherwise, get the 2s

Or the 4s..

I've been running the 4s with a stock charger for a year and a half-- no problems.

I tow a 7500# camping trailer sometimes to 7000' would
I have any EGT problems with Mach 2 injectors. Also hows
the smoke ? It gets to 105 degrees here in the summer and
I remember when I first installed my Smarty I could hardly
take off from a stop with out blacking out the intersection.
It's alot better now with a little practice

my old setup included: Stock Turbo with the wastegate held shut, Comp, Mach 1's, and Snow Stage 2. 1500 degrees empty no problem. Hook the 5th wheel of gooseneck up and comp would be off or on level 1 to keep egt's in check. I would start with a comp. More adjustability, you don't have to tap the wire until you want to.

i have the same set up and put in some bd 130's or 155's were not sure anyway there alittle to much for the stock turbo, egts are in check but i leave a fairly large cloud here and there and it's below freezing but i think a clean set of 80-100's would be good. i went with sticks to save the vp it's going on 310km's now

Are you looking to get on a dyno & post big numbers? Do you want no smoke or little as possible? Do you want to race the truck? Just trying to gather some info before advice.

Now that's helpful I do plan to tow 9k# TT monthly.
I love this site. Of course nobody but me can make up my mind. It is very silly to ask questions like that. But it is fun to share and get all kinds of advice!
