Common rail conversion???
So I was thinking today, could it be possible to convert a 24 valve, or 12 valve for that matter, over to a common rail system? Im thinking probably not, but thought it was kinda intriuging so I thought Id ask...

You probably could but you would have to have the head, pistons, injectors, lines and pump plus the electronics to control it. Would be easier IMO to just find a good motor that was already CR...

With enough money anything is possible. Also the new HPCR isn't the only type of common rail injection out there, for example the big cummins 350 and 400 series engines were a mechanically controlled common rail engine. They had a cam that controlled the injector timing and a rack that controlled the duration of the injection cycle with there being a constant fuel pressure supplied to all injectors, so if you were really adventuresome you could possible create something similar for a b-series engine, although I don't know why.

I have talked to alot of people and it can be easly done if you have all the wirring digrams and understand how ALL the electronics work. Im pretty sure Ill be doing it soon in my 2000. It is best to use a 03 04 motor with a stick shift computer.

Sounds like you are talking about an engine swap, however what the OP was about was converting a 12v or early 24v to have common rail injection.
