codes with comp, and rev on startup
since ive installed my comp i have the code P-1689- No communication between ECM and fuel injection pump
and also every now and then when i start the truck with the comp box turned on, the truck will do a high rev up to 2000-2500 as soon as it turns over then will go back to idle like normal.
i have just been turning the box off before the truck and waiting until after i start it to turn the box on

Hmmm, I don't know for sure, but I would start by checking all the connections, make sure they are tight, clean, and dry, maybe even use some di-electric grease in each. I'm not sure if this would cause your problem, might be the box itself.

My guess would be the box. I had a comp throw out some IP related codes not too long ago and it scared the crap outta me, thinking I would have to replace the IP. Well it turned out to be the box. Send it to Edge and have them check it out for you. Oh ya, and when they send it back, make sure it comes back in Drag form!!
