On the way home today on the freeway , like I do every once
and a while , I like to blast the soot out if you know what I mean.
Doing 60 mph @1800 rpm in 6th gear. Nail the throttle , boost
shoots to 31 psi and I'm off ! 5 seconds later I'm hitting 90 mph and
I back off because of traffic ahead. Look down and check engine light
is on Truck still runs and idles normal. Pull into driveway and shutdown.
Do the 3 on/off with the key and get P1693 thats all. All gauges normal. Just
installed a new lift pump two weeks ago 15 psi idle / 11.5 WOT. What could
have caused this. The Van Aaken has a boost fooler and has been on the
truck for months. Guess I go to Auto Zone in the morning
