Coated exhaust manifold

[QUOTE=Timmay2]It does reduce surface temperatures of the parts coated. This is proven in many cases with infrared thermometers. A reduction in the surface temperature only means one thing, the heat is kept inside.
more heat = faster spoolup.

Would that create higher egt's too?

I found these guys: http://clmcenterprises.srv08.yourhost.com/uper_hi.htm
The guy said 1 pt will be enough for the exhaust manifold and exhaust housing of the turbo. MUCH cheaper than sending it in.

I have a high temp powdercoat on my manifold. Looks real nice as far as I'm concerned thats all it does but I dont have dyno results or anything. I'd be careful with header wrap. Moisture likes to work its way inside and speed up rust and deterioration like crazy.
