Lathe orients the machine marks concentrically (bad), while a resurfacer orients them radially (good).

OK i will be helping putting in the clutch and i would like to do it in just a day so i will need to take it apart then take the flywheel somewhere and get it resurfaced so how long does it normally take? Where can you get it done at?

takes no more than a half hour if the shop can do it right away, i had a local transmission place do mine and it was about $40 i think.
call some tranny shops in your area and see if they can do it ahead of time so its and in and out deal
