clutch question

Ok I know it has been discussed many times, but i'm looking for a good streetable/towable 450 hp minimum.my next step definately need to be a clutch. I don't intend to sled pull. mainly it is a daily driver, that also pulls a large boat in the summer. so I was thinking either an ofe or fe, could someone give me personel experiences on both as well as prices? when do i need the upgrade input shaft? also what is a good turbo to run with 370's and delivery valves? would a htb2 14/64 with 370's and 191 or laser cuts get me a towable 450 without headgasket or temp worries? I know it's a lot of questions so any knowledge would be apriciated.

I have a Haisley drag twin. It really doesnt take very much effort to use and it locks up tight and stays tight. You could also go for their street twin clutch.

If you want a heavier clutch like the fe you may want to ask them if they reccommend that you do the power upgrades right before the clutch install. I ended up going with the con ofe because right now the engine is still stock. They told me that I didn't have enough power to properly break in the con fe clutch and that it probably would never perform like it should. I think they claim that the con ofe is supposed to be good up to 450 hp though, and still drive like stock.

Id say that if you are

going to go with the 450 horse minimum, your modifications with the right timing of the injector pump will get you there, I would go with a southbend dual disk as well for all out holding on power, or the Con o Fe for the more moderate setting if you plan to stay under or right at 450 or so.

I reccomend anything really except a centerforce or a stocker, both i have used from experience..
