Clutch options for mild hp increase....

I am really happy with where my truck is power wise(once I fix the **** fuelling gremlins !!!) and I absolutely won't be adding more hp's but I know sooner or later my stock clutch will start to die....
I can get dual friction centerforces pretty cheap(around 500 bucks US) but I like the southbend clutches just because of their reputation. The equivalent clutch seems to go for around 650 cdn from piers(15% off)....
I will do some moderate towing but under 10000lbs in the future and I drive like a grandpa. The 13 inch upgrade might be best but it's $!
I can't find a power rating for the centerforce dual friction either.... anyone know what it is rated to? All I know is that they claim 90% more holding power(over stock?) so that would mean nearly 400hp like the southbend 12 inch????

I guess I should read other posts first.....

Looks like I should talk to kenny's pulling parts and machine on monday
Customer care is a low priority as the truck will be way out of the country but I would like to know it will work
Anyone know the specs on the luk's clutches?
TIA!!

I know with a Luk Pro-Gold, I ran a #100 full forward w/a set of 300 hp injectors & 4" exhaust & a 14 cm w/gated housing on my stock turbo, & the thing held awesome, I do alot of pulling (trailers) & it took everything I threw at it, the only reason I upgraded was the swap to a 6 spd., & I think I got the Luk w/ t/o bearing & pressure plate for around $375 US, if you're not gonna go crazy with the hp on ur truck I'd definatly take a look at the LUK, great product for the $$, if the hp bug bites ya then definatly give Peter & southbend a shout, Dusty

There were a couple of Southbends on ebay for around $500 IIRC.

Go with anything

But a stocker or a centerforce clutch. Or if you have to go with the lowest one, the stocker by far holds better than the centerforce. Ive had them both....

Thats because the Centerforce clutches work of centrifugal force. The faster the engine is spinning, the more clamping force they have. They were made for drag racing, where cars launch at 5000-6000 RPMs. I know many people who have tried them for four wheeling applications, and they don't work well, because they don't handle low end torque. They actually have less clamping pressure at low revs than a stock clutch.
