As far as performance mods, I've gone as far as I'm going except maybe a FASS or a Holley blue to help save the IP. The edge comp will stay in EZ mode most of the time. The truck runs plenty good like that for me. That's why I am wondering if the Con O would be enough clutch for my application. Thanks for all the input from everyone.

yeah...I thought it was kinda silly with these guys steering you to DD drag/puller clutches without even asking your application.

So far my stock clutch is holding up with my slight mods. That's grossing 13k pounds and driving like a normal person. The few times I've had to really get on it and mash some gears...it still held. I'll count my blessings, but prolly go OFe if it ever gets to slipping.

that was my point....decide on the clutch that works for your present power and driving habits, then go one step higher. The cost difference is not much, and it'll be there for those 'occasional' requests from the mill...or if you want to upgrade just a tad.

That's where I screwed up. The FE holds my power, but not my 'occasional' duty type....and the compounds and fuel are around the corner to push to the edge of it's abilities. Should've gone DD. Not telling you which clutch too choose, just don't redline your choice right out of the box.

There are lots of different types of people out there........some are happy with a couple mods, and others always want more. The only reason any of us suggest the DD clutch is because we have been where you are, thinking that we wouldn't need anything larger because we are comfortable with the current power level. A little time goes by and the bug bites and we add more mods. Next thing you know, the clutch is slipping and you need more clutch. This has been my experience anyway. If you truly believe that you will not add any more performance mods, then call Peter, tell him where you're at and he will steer you to the right clutch. None of us are trying to sell you something you don't need........just trying to keep you from having to do the job twice per our experiences.

Thats what I was trying to say. I have been through 3 clutches bigger BIGGER and DD could have saved myself over 1k bucks but you live and learn.
