Are chrome plated engine dress up pieces available?
I am doing the engine (5.9CTD)for my hot rod, 47 Power Wagon. the sides of the hood will be left open. I am in need of some dress up pieces. Anyone have sources? I heard Cummins sells a dress up kit for the 12 valve.

Nope...
The Original factory Cummins chrome kits are all gone and discontinued. To have the chrome you will need to find a good chrome shop and have it done yourself.Remember this also when your chroming, not all chrome shops are the same and neither is their work.To find a good one you must seek out those who are busy and backed up and wait your turn.I had one do a oil pan, injector lines and some other misc parts and it took months to get them back, but,it was worth the wait.......Andy

Thanks
I kind of figured I would end up having my pieces plated. Powdercoating probably makes more sense, but nothing looks as good as REAL chrome!!
