Let me borrow your turbo and I'll bet I can turn 519 with my cheap setup. Did you have a stout clutch when you did that run? You do have an HO so I guess I should take back my previous statement about your sticks. I can't argue with the video, that is a clean running machine!

Here is the smoke I get from:
66mm turbo
200hp DDP injectors
smarty level 9
TST COMP level 9
(notice they are both turned all the way up)

Don't get it twisted Justin- the super 62 will only be slightly quicker than the 64/14. Search for the posts where Randy (charlie8301) went from a super 66 to a 64/14 to a super 62- he reported a small improvement in spool going from the 64 to the super 62 with his hts auto. The smaller housing should help though
OK, that's good to know. I suspect that even small improvements loom large in the real world with a built auto--apparently this guy thought that, too as he downsized twice to get more spoolup..
I mean, if the diference wasn't significant or worthwhile, why stay with the 62, why not go back to a 66 or 64?
Have you talked to this person about why he kept the 62? I'd like to know.

Copy that.
So would I be foolish to consider a 66-class turbo with my 6-speed truck? I think it would not be wise, even though I don't tow, because 1) high altitude is a consideration, and 2) I need good spoolup.
With my HO pump's limits, I can't see the need to go any bigger than a 62, unless a pump swap happens in the future. HO pumps can make enough power to have fun, but they'll never run with the big dogs.

thats 248hp more than stock on turbo and injectors only, then turn the fueling box on an it makes 519, well thats only 80hp coming out what is claimed as a 180hp fueling box.
before these i had 150hp sticks from DDP also and they made 180rwhp on the dyno with no fueling box.
if you think a hot juice and jammer 5's is all you need to make over 519, then be my guest. its taken me 3 years and thousands of dollars to get where i am at now, if you think its easy...try it. the other BigBlue has been thru 2 or 3 turbos, 3 fueling box combos, and 3 sets of injectors on an SO truck and still cant break 500hp. no offense to him, but proof that its no easy task to make big power with a vp44

Yeah that's crazy, spending all that money on injectors and such only to be denied.
I'm glad that Don's injectors got me there the first time, they were a little bit more, but I didn't have to buy twice.. The Smarty on the other hand made me have my doubts.

my DDP 150 injectors got me there the first time too. funny thing about going to the 200s with the smarty TST on i only picked up 20hp/30tq peak numbers...yet on injectors only i picked up 66rwhp and i forget how much tq.
I am still not convinced that a HRVP44 makes the same peak numbers as an SO pump for this exact reason.
