Re:Chips

I have a superchip on the Excursion and I know someone that has a Power Edge Comp on a Dodge. I think Edge Comp is the better one with 40-120 hp. and 150-350 trq. I think Edge is a far better deal. The only problem with superchips is that when you want to get a different power setting like say you get a new TC then you ahve to send the chip out and get it reprogramed to make a higher setting. Edge you can adjust it anytime.
If that helps any.
SD03

Re:Chips

SuperChips is a re-bagged EZ. Same fueling and timing parameters.

Re:Chips

Wick I see you have a 2003 truck. You don't have much of a choice in upgrades. The next closest thing I believe would be to have your injectors worked over. I was talking to Blue Chip today, Chip Fisher told me that he will be getting a set of new injectors some time next week for his 03. If your looking for POWER talk to him 603-880-8141 www.bluchipdieselperformance.com Overfueled

BULLYDOG BOX FOR 03

i have the bullydog box on my 03.[simple plug in. no seals broken] makes the heavy rig scoot. it is programed to have the power come on strong above 2,000 rpm. the advantage is the power increase coming on hard in that rpm range is easy on a stock automatic trans. also easy on the clutch on a manual. can be reprogramed by bullydog to come on stronger at lower rpm if desired.
http://www.bullydog.com/

mpg increased slightly. too hard to drive for mileage now. too much fun gettin on it ;D

also have stage 1 injectors. add 5o hp. works well and also ads mpg.

these make a good combo for towing

Re:Chips

Don't overlook TST products either. I have the Powermax 3 and it rocks.
As far as chips go- I really like the chili and cheese flavored Ruffels ;D

edit... just noticed you have an 03- dunno if TST is doing anything for them yet. Pushrod might know...

Re:Chips

I've heard that TST is the only one there might be others open but. I heard they are the only ones right now with injectors for the 03's.

Re:Chips

Right now, there ain't much for the 03's. Bully Dog and Edge each have boxes. The Edge is the much better box, with another 10 ponies, adjustable between 40 and 80 HP and it pulls fuel pressure up early in the RPM curve (about 1400 RPMs versus the 1800 that Bully is set to). Diesel Dynamics has three levels of injectors for the 03 as well. TST and Edge are each working on true timing/fueling boxes (which the current line of fuel pressure boost boxes will stack with), but these won't be available for a couple months yet.

Muddy: send your Bully Box back for reprogramming. they just introduced another program which comes on at 1800 RPM. Makes the boxes a little better.

Rod
