Chip/Programmer suggestions

Truck in sig in question, going to keep this thing for awhile, so I want to do somethings to it. Truck is stock, except for tire size. Will be adding an aftermarket exhaust, 4", turbo back, to help it breath. I'm wanting gauges to keep track of everything, but by the time I buy the gauges, I'm at the price of most programmers. It's a daily driver, not a hotrod. Pulls occasionally, 99% of the time it's less than 10k. With 244,000 on the tranny, I'm worried about it. What are your suggestions? I was leaning towards the Edge w/ attitude until I read some stuff on here about it damaging computers. Let me know which way to go. Thanks.

you may know this but just saying,
if you add a box, and it is tapping the vp-44 you should really upgrade your fuel system if you haven't if you have the oem fuel pump upgrading to a bigger fuel line possible a fass, airdog, raptor etc, will allow full fueling and and better fuel pressure to your vp and not have fuel starvation due to the higher levels with the fuel boxes. can you get away with it for awhile on the lower settings yes. I believe the only problem that adrenaline was having in the past was a fuel pressure sender? not sure what the fix was current.. Edge has alot of safe settings to use and alot of other stuff. I bought the tst and smarty in the past love it. I may have looked at the edge then if it was out at the time. good luck

I've never heard anything about edge boxes causing ECM problems. I've had my Juice W/Attitude for a few years now with no problems, very happy with it. Not only does it give you guages it gives you the ability to set audio alarms based on your parameters.

same here, no idea where these rumurs of boxes hurting ECM. the box modifies the signal after it leaves the ecm, so its near impossible for it to cause issues, a programmer on the other hand is a totally different issue, as they are known to cause ecm problems during re-programming

my edge has at least 4000HOURS of trouble free use, and would by another in a heatbeat
