Which chip to go with ??

Need some opinions guys... my truck specs are below in my signature....

I finally got things running right on my truck now... so... I want to throw in a performance chip/box what not to give me some extra power, better towing power, and maybe even a little better fuel economy when my foot is "not" in it...

I dont want to get too crazy and dont want to add anything that is going to force me to change a bunch more stuff... I have a little better air in than stock (K&N), 5" exhaust out... now... what should I plug in?

I have read on the Edge, and the Predator... both seem like simple plug in power... any other ideas? Liek I said, I dont want a tuning headache, just want to plug in somoe more power and be done for a "reasonable" price"

Thanks in advance fellas.

Honestly from a "longetivity" stand point, I wouldn't go any stronger than an entry level box like the Edge EZ, especially with an auto trans. Driving carefully I didn't have any issues, but my injectors pushed me over that threshold........of course now with the "good trans" I'm very satisfied with the towing/drivability of my truck.

So an Edge EZ would be some simple plug in power that shouldnt be too hard on things or mess anything up in your opinion? I do have an auto trans and do some pretty regualr towing of around 11k lbs... thanks!

If you go this route be prepared to do some upgrades in the tranny.

Edge Juice w/Attitude is the ticket. You don't have to tap the VP44 but you still have all the guages and room to upgrade if you want more power. Edge also has great customer service....

Also... I have been looking online and comparing between the Edge EZ and the Predator stage 1 or 2.... look slike the predator will give a bit more power but also comes with a little higher price tag... any feedback on these or differences I should be aware of?

Edge EZ says it supplies 60 hp and costs $400.00
the Predator stage 1 supplies 70 hp and costs $499.00
and the predator stage 2 provides 100 hp and costs $537.00

feedback anyone? Most bang for the buck? opinions? thanks!

Just put a juice and attitude in my truck today. Great chip, just instructions were a little light. I already had an edge comp chip so I knew what I was doing, but for a total beginner, it is not going to be a fun install, not that you will screw things up, just might have to re route wires a few times, till you decide the best location for the box.

Edge EZ takes about five minutes tops to install. Check the classifieds here or Ebay for one. I bought mine years ago for $125.00. I'm sure the Edge Attitude is a very nice unit, but not as easy to install and personally I like to have the gauges separate from the "chip".

.....and being hindsite is 20/20. Looking at the weight you are pulling you would definately appreciate a modded trans and the pulling power the Attitude would give you.

I researched for 4 months, got the JWA, (tapped it today - whoa!)
Pulls my bass boat with the cabover camper on throught the passes at 60 mph, got guages, everything you need.

Nothing fills every void as well as the juice!
