It's been a while since I been on, but still see a lot of good info on the forums as usual. My question is if any of you are on ebay I am sure you have seen the adds for Pheonix reman trans. They claim a buy it now for a reman 47re reman for $1195.00. The best part is this price includes a free rebuilt torque (850 ft lbs) with billet cover!!!! I have seen this ad run many times but always disregarded it becuase it is simply to cheap to be true, or junk, but it is warrantied for 12 month 12,000 mile, and claim to be dyno tested. Any one out there runing one of these or have experience with these. The seller has almost 100% positive feedback. My truck has injectors, guessing 50-100 horse, and at the most will get a smarty or a edge comp. Nothing crazy. Thanks to all, enjoy the turkey, wild turkey that is.

 

I wouldn't do it. A friend of mine bought two trannies from that outfit for different trucks and both gave up within months.

 

I knew a guy here in Texas that had that type of transmission business. Basically he would tear them down and only replace the bad parts. Meaning if the band was burnt up, that's all he would replace.

He did clean them up nice and pretty on the outside.

 

i would also not go that route, simply because in transmissions you will get excatly what you pay for.
