well i heard of something you can do to a 24v but don't know if its true. what you do is pull the temp sender out and put a new one in but keep the old one pluged in on top of the engine so that the computer reads cold and will throw more fuel. is this true or not, i don't know. i never tried it.

I doubt that would work since instead of measuring the intake air charge, you'd now be measuring the ambient temperature of the engine compartment. Not sure you'd actually be reading lower temps, since once the engine gets warmed up, it's pretty warm under the hood.
The only sensor I can think you can unplug for additional low boost fueling is the MAP sensor, but that requires having a box with a boost fooler to that the computer doesn't set an overboost code.

NEVER!!
no matter what truck you buy, free horses, always come with a price, IE u up boost and fuel, and ur headgasket can go boom... anytime u mod somethin, u have to mod something else to get it right, unless of coarse u plan on being super gentle with those mods you are gonna run, But hey they are fun for occasional use..

I have a 91 cummins, but I do not have the original motor in it. It instead has a 5.9 cummins out of a 93 motor home ( I guess thats all they could find at the time) but anyways it has an inline pump on it like the 94's an up do. My truck doesn't have an intercooler, I wish it did though. I had a 92 cummins a few years back and I was able to up the power easily on it. I was wondering if there was a simple way of getting a few extra horses, by way of something simple I could do myself. I'm a married college student so the budget is very slim. Any suggestions?

I tried the budget way to go. Then $12000.00 on a cratered motor, $7900.00 on a spun tranny(5th and rev) . I believe the only way to go on heavy mods are from the inside out. The only plus side to it all is that I have a monster truck now, 01 3500 4.10, gv dbl overdrive, pistions, cam, head, 6 over on the block, cust turbo( but the stock housing), fass, tst, trip clutch, bla bla bla, the list goes on , you get the idea. NO spray. so almost $70000.00 what do you think the easy way to go is????????????????
P.S. black smoke is wasted fuel!!!!!!!
