Talking Changing From A HRVP 44 To A SO VP44???

Anyone out there know the pump number on a SO VP44. I'm trying to find a SO and when they ask me for my engine serial number, it shows up as a HO because it is an HO. They have a hard time selling a SO pump to a HO motor and don't believe the SO will work on a HO motor??? (that's too many SO's & HO's) For now I'm hopefully(if Qzilla will let me) going to try a new Quad Race Box to see if it will fix the idle lope on my HRVP 44 and if that does then I won't have to spend the $1500.00 on a SO pump...

i dunno where you are buying but an SO pump should be $1050, not $1500

Why not go through the states? $450 difference is significant, especially at today's exhange. I was gonna go look at my engine serial number so you could give them that, but I forgot the tag is at home.

My idle is getting worse and worse every day. I'm starting to think my VP44 is on the way out??? Tried Smarty SW#1 and it smoothed it out for a little while and then back to a horrible idle. Just getting tired of the people looking at my truck and thinking, "what's wrong with that heap???" No codes but that doesn't mean a thing...

You tried different lines and connector tubes? When I went to the .120 connector tubes and .093 lines I had no rough idle. went down to .084 lines and very slightly noticed it but almost anyone thought it was jsut a normal diesel truck idle.
