Center seat subwoofer

I've been searching for a bit and can't find it again. I read a post about a guy who builds a custom center seat that doubles as a sub box and actually still has seat cusion on it too compared to the JL box. He sells them on ebay but I can't find them for the life of me. Anyone got any leads? Thanks.

I just bought one, I'll let you know when I get it installed.

I had him go ahead and install a JL Audio 12w6v2 in it

Wow I would definately be interested in the feedback on the quality of the box when you get it done. Was going to scrounge for the JL stealth but this is much cheaper.

Like I said, I'll let you know when I get done.

I've got a whole system to install:

That box with a JL 12w6v2
JL 500/1 Amp
JL XR653-Csi 3-way Component --- 4" speakers and tweeters to be installed in a Q-Logic kick panel box
JL XR-650-Cxi for the back
Pioneer 300/4 Amp for the speakers --- I know, not JL, but IT WAS FREE.
Planning on DynaMat (or some cheaper knockoff) in the whole truck, floor, door's, not sure on the roof yet, will make up my mind later.

What a Project, , it had better sound good when I get done,
Chris

Be prepared for some earplugs Chris, I ran 1 sub with some cheap Jensen speakers on a pioneer head unit for awhile, that was loud, then I switched to 2 12" Kicker comps on a 1200 Xplode amp, 4 Pioneer 6x9's behind the seats on another amp and 4 pioneer 5.25" speakers in the doors and center console, just off the head unit. all that crammed in that little cab makes for some ear splitting. Probably not so much in a clubcab but i'm sure it'll be plenty. Sounds awesome. Make sure you use some matting on the back of the cab too, helps alot with the sound.

I'm interested to know how these sub boxes are working out. Simple install? Accurate hole locations? Over all fit and finish? and most importantly sound quaility?

I have the Real JL stealth box with a 12w3 in mine with 2 12w3's in the back so 3 twelves its not as loud as I would like but it does alright. If anyone gets one of these ebay boxes take some pics to compare the JL one to. I got my JL center one off ebay for the same price as that knock off so I did alright on it.

Mine should be here tomorrow, so I'll take some pics of it. I'll also snap some pics on the install too.

On a side note, where are you guys putting your amps? I will have two when I get done, so need someplace for both.

Hellotbone,
I think I read something about putting them on the back wall of the cab? Is that down below the seat, or right behind the back of it?

Thanks Guys,
Chris

Sig What I did was fit a piece of MDF to my back wall behind the seat so remove the seat. Once fitted I covered it in speaker box material then took some really strong silicone and covered the sheet and wall pretty good with it then pressed the sheet to the wall and left it over night with a couple boards jambed in there to keep it tight. Next day you have a custom wall you can screw your amps and wiring to. Keep everything off the floor and in my case away from water etc... Plus there is no way to find or steal your stuff its hidden.
