Question carter vs stock lift pump

i just replaced my lift pump 2 days ago with a carter one.

how is it compared to stock? better/worse? last longer?

can't be too much better or too much worse. should be about the exact same pump.

The one I just replaced on my 2000 said "Carter" on the bottom. The new one from Cummins said the same thing.

I'm pretty sure carter makes them for cummins

My buds lift pump just went out.

Dodge wants 387 for a new one.Is there any where he can get one cheaper?

Check Cummins they wanted about $155 plus shipping. I got mine at a Kenworth dealer for $158 plus tax. You might want to get 4 sealing washers as well, they ran $1 each.

I got mine at Napa it's a Carter with a lifetime warranty. $197 tax and all.

When I called NAPA to check on prices, they told me that it only had a 1 year warranty.

They told me it was warranted for life.
