Can't make up my mind...Help me
Okay, I'm going to put a new exhaust on soon, and I just cant make up my mind. I was determined to put on a 4" straight pipe, but I was driving around town last weekend and saw a parked Dodge with stacks. That's all I've been able to think about since then. I've got the 4" exhaust picked out, and I also have the 5" stack parts found. The stacks a a little more, but that dosn't matter. All I need to do now is order something! What do you all think? Straight pipe or stacks? I like the look of stacks, but don't want it to be annoyingly loud, but I can add a muffler in the future. It's a regular cab with a long bed. Thanks a lot guys, I'm really wanting to get this decided on soon so I can start chopping. Thanks again, George

go with the stacks and dont look back . like you said if they are to loud put a muffler in. by the way i hear if you put the lowest point of the miter cut on the stacks about 5" above the top of the cab its not to bad. that is if you are going to run miters.

im not to sure on if theres much of a sound difference . but o think flat tops with the rain flappers might bug the H---L out of you with them rattling at idle. turn outs i think would direct the sound away from the cab so you dont go crazy driving down the road when pulling and would keep some of the smoke of what ever you ar pulling . but in the end this is your truck and will have to deside. try hunting down some one that has stacks and go for a ride and see how you like them .
