can't find gears
this situation is not new just been dealing with it for a while. finding it difficult to engage into gear after coming to a complete stop. engage clutch and shift **** into second gear. i usually have to try about two to three times before it actually slides into gear. when it gets really stubborn i usually go through the shift pattern and then back to second. much more stubborn when gets cold out. does this when the truck is at full operating temp. and when its cold.
an aftermarket clutch was installed at the same time i had some of the changes done. i brought this situation up to the "mechanics"(one of the larger advertisers on this website)attention, he told me to give it a little time to "wear in". forty thousand miles later and its still "wearing in".
i've asked around a bit and some say its the clutch not fully engaging or not disengaging.
any thoughts? whats the fix? ballpark$ ?
