I would think with a 0 or 100 plate and some more timing it would get real close to 500. I don't know anything about the turbo you have. If you have a stock extra plate grind a 100 and see if it makes a difference. What kind of boost are you making at the setting right now?

I am seeing 42 pounds of boost at peak, and the special is wastegated at 45 psi. I have a zero plate to put in, and with the monster delivery valves and the 180 pump that should be getting me close shouldn't it? If not 500 then what do you think?

When I had a 12 valve I ran a 0 plate but liked the 100 plate better. The flat plate seemed to over fuel to much and kind of kill the spoolup. 20 degrees timing seemed to be a real good combo with 4000 governer springs. I sure miss the way it ran compared to the vp trucks I have now. Man it was sweet from 2500 to 4000 with the twins.

How far can I go with the timing before I won't like how it starts and runs? 17.5? 20? besides a fuel plate and delivery valves, how do I get my pump to flow more fuel? Is it high flow lift pump time?

I'd try 19* There is no exact cut off where you like vs. wont like it and my opinion might not match yours on starting and running but I like 19 very well.

To hit 500+, your going to have to add larger injectors or get more fuel out of your current injectors via longer duration. Late fuel from longer duration will create a lot of extra heat and smoke for every additional horsepower added.
To make more power with your current setup, you need to modify your AFC to allow full rack travel, add a 2095 rack plug, and increase your timing so fueling starts sooner. If your 3kgsk is defueling before 3000 rpm, you might want to add a click or two to the GSK setup to allow for a few more RPM. You don't want the governor cut fueling before you reach peak hp.

Big Blue, I am not schooled on the rack plug modification, could you explain some more please? I had assumed that the fuel plate and governor springs are what controled fueling.

the rack plug allows a couple more milimeteres of travle to the fuel rack, but to be able to use one, you will need a heavly modified (or removed) fuel plate and afc...
