Question Can I use this?

I was wondering if this would work for my dodge. The guy told me its only for a 93 but he wasnt too sure. The dimensions are:
Length- 9.75"
Diameter-8"

I'm finding out what the intake diameter is and I'll let you know when I find out. I was just wondering if maybe some of you guys with the BHAF knew what your dimensions were or if you could get them. Thanks

If the inlet can be clamped on a 4" pipe with an air tight fit, then it should work. The other thing to consider the dimentions. I don't know if it's the same size as the BHAF's, but I'm sure someone else will reply that has one.

OTOH, if it's for a 93 cummins, then it should flow enough to support your engine until you go a little wilder with the mods. Not sure what power level the BHAF doesn't flow enough and a scotty2 or afe is needed (I want to say 350-400HP ).

Fleetguard BHAF is thus:

10.5" diameter.
11.88" tall.

That would make the one you're curious about a little smaller.
It will fit in the space available no problem.

I don't see a lip to attach the stock hose to though.
Kinda hard to see in my pic, but there is a lip that the stock hose fits perfectly.

You might have to get a piece of 4inch PVC or exhaust pipe and attach the filter to one end, then attach the intake hose to the other end.

Hey, Cumminsdude.

Your PM's are full and I can't reply to you.

Here is the text of the reply I tried to send.
Followed by the question you asked.

Begin

I can't remember how much I paid for either, about $50 bucks for the filter, $26 or so for the prefilter (plus $6 shipping)

I emailed them with the part number and dimensions and they responded with the prefilter part number I'd want to order.
Then I called them and ordered it.

If it is an off the shelf filter, they most likely have a prefilter in
stock for it, a part number would be a good thing.
Best bet would be give them a call, or since it is after hours, shoot them an email.
There should be contact info on the web site.

Even though it's a little smaller than mine, it should be more than enough filter. It still has twice the surface area as the stock filter.
Many choose the smaller BHAF, and call it a MHAF (Medium Honking Air Filter).

How much did you pay for your filter and your prefilter. What make is your prefilter and where did you get it? I looked on that one website that u said you got it from but couldn't find a price. Also I dont know what size I would need to fit on this filter. Do you think this filter is big enough for my engine? I might be able to get it for like $20 brand new. I want a prefilter thought thats why I'm asking. Would your style fit the filter i'm interested in? Thanks for everything.
