Can the 92 Cummins be turned up
Can someone tell me how to get some extra power from a 92 Dodge/Cummins rated at 160hp and 400tq. A 50 or 75 horse jump would be great but anything would help. Dont want to hurt economy when not towing. Thanks

Visit www.dodgeram.org and follow the links to the technical articles. You can jump your power way up there and never spend a dime, other than a bit of increased pump wear.

After I made the pump adjustments on my '92, I had the local muffler shop replace the stock, kinked tailpipe with a 4" Walker tailpipe (stock #54150) and install 4" pipe up to the transfer case with good welds and hangers....wheelspin became a problem.
Since I was calling on my injector pump more, I used Service Power to help keep it lubed.

I don't know, I got the part number off a forum, but it cleared the spare tire and had lots of clearance over the rear end. The outlet was a few inches short so I gutted a 4" chrome pipe end the kids put on their doodybug cars and welded it onto the tailpipe...looked good too. Sounded good with lots of "BLAT". Also let the whole motor flow better so I could put another turn or so on the fuel screw and ended up with about 5psi more boost.
