Just so you know...some people say that HTT's HTBG is the same turbo, and I'm sure II has something to fit that spot as well. Just giving you a few more options!

Valve springs are also overlooked because most dont have any idea on how to install them and there isnt that "instant power gain". But even springs by themselves will increase your horsepower indirectly and make your engine function properly....
Pieces of the puzzle guys.....
Pieces of the puzzle guys.....
It IS hard to spend that money for no noticable difference, that I can actually feel .... not to mention almost 5 hrs install time, incl. new valve seals.
What had me confused is the second hand report I got out of Montana! Supposedly, Don M. told an H2 cam buyer (drag racer) that they did not need the springs? Maybe there were other considerations?
I know they were developed primarily for the Helix 3, but still...? I felt pulled both ways, about doing the springs.

Technically, with an H2 you don't NEED the springs, but you are operating very close to coil bind with stock springs. I don't know why anyone would spend the money on a cam, and not upgrade the valve springs...they wouldn't do it on a gas, but it's OK on a diesel??? Especially with all the valvetrain troubles the 24v engines seem to be experiencing lately!

How much will a helix 2 reduce EGT's? I noticed when I installed a 4" exhaust, the EGT's were reduced by about 200 across the board. Can I expect a H2 to drop the EGT's another 200 or?
I have a 200HP comp that when set on kill will peg the pyro in couple seconds. The 4" helped a little so I can stay on it longer. If a cam will let me stay in for say 5 seconds longer that's worth it to me. Plus the mechanical lift pump is a really nice added bonus.

Don's said that running boost over 3k can cause valve float. I do this accidentally from time to time so I think I need springs.
