Question CAI straight out the Side of the PS FENDER ???

I am a firm believer in cool outside air as well as ram air to alleviate any pressure depressions at the turbo inlet
Why not go straight on the side of the fender ???

I haven't (yet) seen anyone do a CAI going out the side of the fender. I think this would be a great solution to the CAI problems!! I "might" try it myself if I could find an acceptable nice chrome housing!!

Ideas ??

Also, where does one buy this Marine wet rubber exhaust hose stuff ???

Why not go straight out the fender with something like this ??? You know, like a BIG truck has!!

IMHO the efforts to induct the coldest air possible are a bit overrated, at least in the cooler northern climates. After inducting cold air, and sending it though a CAC, it is possible to have your intake air too cold.

I certainly would not run a CAI on a northern truck in the winter months.

In a hotter souther climate I'm sure there is more benefit to this.

I'm not suggesting it for the Thermal effect, but the Volumetric effect.

Certainly, it would be alot more efficient to draw in larger volumes of air from outside rather than under the hood IMHO. Considering the volume of air needed for the CTD needs when they are modified.
