Cab light measurement please...
Ill try again. SURELY someone can walk out and measure across a light for me on a late 2nd gen. I just need the measurement from the middle of each screw within one light, so I can see if they will fit my 94-98 light pattern. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, are yours the raised style like I have, or the flatter style?
Well Ive got clear lights, but they were supposed to be smoked. Does anyone know if the newer 2nd gen, flat style, from Recon have Smoked lenses, or are they like mine, where the 'smoked' is because of the black base?

Mine are the flatter style. I just measured with some calipers and also got 1.75". Hope this helps.
Here are the recon smoked lights I think you're talking about. They look to me like clear lenses with black bases also.

I have seen at some part store,, cant remember which one there is stuff called Night Shades and it is meant to be sprayed on plastic lens that make them smoke black color, but still lets the color of the bulbs show thru

Ya I have some of that. Problem is, it shows any blemish in the lense. There was just some weathering in an old cab light I had, I sprayed it on and you could see every crack, and it looked like crap. I tried buffing it down, but even with 3-4 coats its too thin and wears right through with the finest sand paper.
I dont know why, but 3rd gen lights by Recon are actually smoked lenses, yet 2nd gen ones arent.
