Bypass Oil System-FS 2500

I am still astounded with the color of my oil after 1000 miles. It is as clear as the day I put it in. My machine shop called me a liar when I told them I was on my 5th tank of fuel after changing my oil. It really looks like I just changed my oil. No soot or darkening at all. I ran an inspection mirror inside the valve cover to verify flow from the remote bypass system return, and was again surprised at the large volume of flow from the filter. In all of my modifications, this will give me my greatest return on longevity. I have initiated an oil analysis program to lengthen the time between my oil changes. Simply amazing.

Well, what system did you install?? And why did you chose that one? How did the installation go?? Glad to hear you are happy with the performance.

The system is the Filter Solution 2500 (FS-2500). Installation was normal for me...hard. I took alot of time (two days) to do the installation. The only hitch I found was the nipple for the pressure side didn't clear the bolt on top of the oil filter housing. I had to purchase a different fitting. In my installation, I would have done this anyway. I will add photos this week of the installation.
I chose this mod for two reasons. They are used rather exclusively in the mining and heavy machine industry where down time costs lots of money. A friend in Montana whom services mining equipment swears by them. Second, your typical oil filter only screens in the 30-50 micron range. If can run a bypass system that will see all of my oil every 5 minutes, and screen to less than one micron, I'm in. Further, this unit with oil analysis will allow me to extend my oil changes to ?? (25-50,000 miles)?? Don't know for sure yet, but the analysis will tell me. For us, changing of the oil isn't because the oil is breaking down, its because of our particulates embedded in the oil. Take these particles out, and your oil changes will go a very long way. Now, add up 11 quarts of synthetic and a change cycle of every two years (averaging 15,000 per year) and see not only cost savings, but longevity for the engine.

Question

Where did you buy it? It sounds like a great life preserver for an engine.

Bought it directly from the manufacturer. Also bought enough filters for several years.
