Bye Bye Black Tailgate (exhaust review)

Well after a few hours and even a few more beers, we finally finished the new 4in exhaust system. I picked up one of those Warpspeed systems off ebay for a great price. Not a bad system at all for the price. The system was pretty easy to install and there was enough pipe to make it straight piped, even for my long bed. The drop in egt's is noticable, but not exactly what I was hoping for, but the Scotty II will be in later on this week so oh well. The sound is definatly deeper and inside the cab it ia 10 times quieter than my previous system (stock straight piped dumped under the cab). All in all this what I wanted for the price and I know my tailgate and rear bumper will be happy once again in their natural color (once I finally get around to washing the truck . As for the tailgate and bumper, I'm gonna have to figure out a way to keep them from rusting since there won't be as much carbon buildup and soot that was there before .

Any kind of exhaust would be better then what you had......or didn't have!

Glad you got it fixed up. Now your truck can look almost as good as mine.

You better explain "Finished"??? down pipe only... or down pipe.. and the straight pipe... Tail pipe, too.. that's unheard of... I'll be interested to see how it looks.. and what the tail pipe looks like... installed... What color is the back of that truck anyways...
Glad to hear it installed easy... (at least removal of the old system wasn't too hard... ) And I'm guessing you straight piped it???

Be careful with that brillo pad and don't take too much paint off removing the soot!

We did straight pipe it. They gave us enough piping to straight pipe. Anybody want a muffler? The tip looks just like mine but comes out at a 90* angle about 6" from the back tire and is flush with the side of the bed.
