buying first diesel, more hp out of a 12 valve or 24 valve?
Looking to buy my first diesel truck, and I cant decide between a 12v or 24v. I know the 12 is reliable and the 24 has pump issues. Now which one can produce more power for drag racing?

12 valve is the powerhouse.. but you have to do alot of money worth of mods to it.. pumps and **** are expensive on 12 valves too.. actually more expensive if you are looking for 800+ HP..

if you like to tinker with mechanical stuff, go with the 12V, but if you like boxes and plug and play stuff, go with the 24V engine.. The 12V seems to be cheaper and easier to modify IMHO... But im biased..
