Bumping Fuel Pressure w/ In Take LP
Mopar just replaced my lift pump under warranty on my 99. You wonder why, I bought the truck used in Nov 05 and Mopar sold me a 3 year 36,000. The truck now has one of those in take lift pumps. I defanitly don't want to spend a great deal on upgrading the fuel system because I would like to put it toward building my tranny this summer. I'm wondering what you guys think of getting a Vulcan Big Line Kit and either a Holly or Carter lift pump and use it as a pusher along with the in take pump. Same time I'm also worried cause the truck is under warranty. What all was modified when changing the lift pump off the engine to the in take one because if it is pretty simple I'm going to purchase a Carter and mount it right back. Just want your input on this guys. Thanks

FWIW, I added a Carter 4600 (7 psi) in the stock location to bump my pressure up to 15psi at idle. Towing the 5r no less than 10 psi. I do have the upgraded fuel lines too. About $100 for the pump from Summit. I don't know how long it will last but so far so good.
