Bully Dog Injectors

Bully Dog Injectors
I know there are a hundred posts on here about injectors, I just tried to read through them all...bottom line, I'm going to buy some injectors this weekend. I had planned on Bully Dog stage I or II. I've recently heard some comments about them causing nothing but problems...I'm not looking for he said/she said info, just facts. If any of you have these please give me your honest opinion. If they're not worth messing with I'll just save my money most likely and get a set of Bosch 275's.<br><br>Thanks for the help!<br><br>Ryan

Tell me why you recommend each? I'm looking for the good and bad...

The 275's aren't enough get the stage 1 or 2's you will be muck more pleased with the performance I have 2's and Im quite happy get great mileage and all, they do smoke under low boost though just don't slam your foot into it at a traffic light!

Smokin'<br><br>Our experience with the Bully Dogs is that they will tend to be a little smokier than an equivalent DD injector (at low boost), however they make all the power they say they'll make. I haven't seen any failed injectors, nor have I heard of any customers having problems with them.<br><br>Rod

Re:Bully Dog Injectors
I just went from Bully dog 2's to Diesel Dynamics 3's
The reason? Less smoke and more power
DD's injectors produce much less smoke than the same size BD injector
Smoke is good when you want it but it can also be a pain when you dont.
DD's are second to none

How big of an injector can you install with a comp and still not worry about how much fuel your pump can push into the system. Do I need to find a better delivery system of fuel into the injectors?

Re:Bully Dog Injectors
Horse Hauler<br> With just my 275's and Tst box on 4 I can pull my fuel pressure down to 5 psi. Before I installed Rods banjo bolts, I could get it to go down to 1.5 to 2 psi. Probably depends on YOUR pump- some stock ones are better than others. I believe Rod is going to be testing a PE 4200 pump in the stock location. I'm crossing my fingers that it works out ;D

For an example, I did my banjo bolts and got a new lift pump and with the box (TST PM3) on 9 I could draw my FP down to 3psi. That was with DD2's also but you see how inadequate the fuel system is, 14psi @ idle to 3psi under full load. I would definately upgrade the fuel system to -6 or -8an lines if I was going to run a major fueling box and injectors. <br><br>Just my .02<br>Nathan
