the silencer ring is in ur turbo, take the intake tube off the turbo, get a small flat screwdriver, pop the snap ring out and the little cone (ring) should fall right out.

Like someone else said, this will only work with an Edge Comp or EZ. What it does is it fools the ECM into believeing the motor has full boost, which will inturn allow more fuel sooner. If you don't have either the Egde Comp or Ez, by unplugging the MAP sensor, the ECM will put your truck into a limp mode and restrict the fuel from the VP-44 injection pump. It does not affect the operation of the wastegate what so ever. No fuel = no exhaust, which will = no boost.

Are they cheap? Maybe I need to do some cross border shopping. How far is Vancouver from Seattle? My sister might be working at the Boeing plant over Christmas, I could send her looking for me.

Vancouver is around 160 miles South of Seattle... right on the Oregon border.
