air horn off
fuel tree out
disconnect fuel return line and all copper banjo's
yank injector...just make sure you don't force the new set in too far thinking they should go in FURTHER...slide them in, and into the slot..no farther. You should be able to re-use all the washers and banjo's as long they aren't warped or bent.

BTW lil Red: You still want that turbo i got? you'd be getting a heck of a steal $$ wise, if not lemme know A.S.A.P...Thanks!

Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

you'll probably need a 24mm extended socket too. go to sears. i paid $22 for one at a local car quest place wont do that again. you'll need to probably take all of the fuel lines off. i'd also recommend just taking that fuel return line off at once (my first time- i took like two bolts off, then put them on, then another two, etc.) be careful not to lose the banjo bolts or copper gaskets-throw a rag or paper towel into the openings between the exhaust manifold. and make sure to clean out the injector holes with a round wire brush.

Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

When I got the injectors it came with an installation kit. Yet when I took the old ones out, it seems like I don't need the kit. Any suggestions.

Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

I got a 3/4 in. crowsfoot wrench that helped me out alot. I used the thinnest washers in the install kit, but I like SMOKE ;D ;D ;D. Also dont worry if the old injectors dont just pop right out, just keep workin with em and theyll eventually come out . Lastly... make certain that ALL of your fuel lines are tightened properly, otherwise youll end up with one heck of a mess and youll be wonderin why she wont start ... not that that happened to me or anything :.
Wheels

Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

will the 300 injectors work well with a 95 auto without changeing the delivery valves? About how much power would I gain? Will the egt's go up a lot? Does anyone have a part number there is a set on ebay selling for 249.00 but I am not sure if they will work.

Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

when we put my Marine 300's in we left the fuel lines in place...granted it would have been slightly : less difficult if they hadn't been there it can be done without removing them. We just lifted up the top line where it comes between the valve covers and stuff a small flathead in there to kind of hold them outta the way.

also some kind of small prybar that will fit down in or around the injector may be need for some "persuassion" (sp?) of the old injectors.
Re:Bosch 300 Injectors

mark, i dunno how you did it with the lines still in. it seemed like i wouldn't have been able to get the rachet and socket in there with the fuel lines pried up......so i took them all off.

i first used the fuel line retainers that go around the top of the injectors to pull them out, but now i have a new tool (issue 40- page 150). just two 16mm (?) nuts around a big bolt and washer with the nuts welder together.

if anyone needs one made up, i will gladly do it at cost. no biggy.

Tom
