boost sender install

Should I tap the airhorn or remove the plug on the head?

Appreciate the advise.

I pulled the plug, got a reducer and no problems, I think the air horn to intake pressure drop is not a issue. do which ever one you feel best with.

I like the intake bolt with the hole in it. Fast simple and puts the hose right where you need it. Get it from Cummins.

HID,
Don't need a hose, it's an electric sender.

Guess I will use the plug.

Thanks!

HID, I was suprised to see that boost sender with no need for a hose, no wonder it was $125.

Tomorrow I'm putting on a new exhaust manifold and adding egt and boost gauges finally. My old manifold has one heck of a crack in it. Got all new hardware. If I run into a snag I'll give a shout in the help section. Really curious to see my egts pulling the horse trailer next weekend over Sherman (mtn between Laramie and Cheyenne).

Ahhh yes, Sherman... Spent 20 hours on the west side headed east in about 1981. Me and about 15 other trucks, in the snow. Had a Consolidated that decided to go south on it instead of east, up on the top. Finally got to the truck stop and they had no food. It was another day or so before the powers that be opened the gates. One of those days when I was glad I fueled up and had full tanks. And no one cared if we idled, hmmmmm.
