Boost #'s ????
I just put in a set of DD II's this past weekend in hopes of improving the performance & mpg of the 331,000 mile stockers. I've known that the wg didn't work on the turbo, but I didn't worry about it cause boost was only 35# anyway. After install boost is still 35-36# ??? 100 plate is 75% forward to control EGT's as I only have a 3" straight. Do I have a leak that ;eaks at only 35# or is ti something else??? I'm stumped.

Well if you are still using your stock turbo, 35psi is about the max for the stocker. Boost doesn't always necessarily mean more power, especially if it's almost tapped out on it's efficiency range.

You should see more boost than that-It is not good, you don't want to be over 35-36 PSI, but my dads 96 with a number 6 plate, AFC kit- will peg a 40PSI guage with a non gate 14cm housing. Not good but it will do it. The number 6 is not full forward either.

I realize the max on a stocker should be 35#, but I am not understanding why that is all I get. I don't want to run more that 35, but if I upgrade to a larger turbo I would like to have more boost and know that something is not wrong with my truck. I was thinking of going to a Super 40 and moving to twins once the funds are avaliable.
