boost in overdrive?

I pulled a 12000 lb trailer last weekend. In drive I could see 35+lbs of boost. In O.D. I could only get 21lbs of boost, even when I had it almost to the floor. (just before it would down shift) Without the trailer I can get 35+lbs of boost in O.D. Does this make sense? Am I running out of fuel? Thanks.

Could you have been slipping the convertor? Boost is a product of engine load and fueling. You can have a boost leak, but that should happen under all conditions. I don't know enough about 24V to help you much.

Probably didn't have enough RPM in OD to get the chargers spinning hard. Remember, it's close to a 30% OD.

That's most likely what it is but it could also be electronically controlled so as not to damage your engine.Class 8 trucks are controlled that way.

How do I get around this. Maybe i'm dreaming but, I would like my truck to pull a trailer like my dads 12v. In overdrive he can get 40+lbs easy. I was thinking it is my stock injectors. And I'm sure the converter isnt slipping. It was staying around 1600-1700 rpm.
