Boost leak tester parts list?

Well it is apparent that I have a boost leak and I was wondering if any of you have a parts list made up to test for leaks starting at the 4" inlet. Better yet, maybe someone that lives near the Gainesville,FL area has one that they could let me use? Either way any help would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Adam

Re:Boost leak tester parts list?

I used a 4" rubber pipe coupling with screw type hose clamps on each end and a 4" ABS screw in cap that I drilled and threaded 1/4" NPT for an air fitting. You have to do the clamps up with a nutdriver to get them tight enough. I turned my compressor regulator right off, bled out the air from the hose and then slowly increased the pressure to 20psi. Worked good.

Gator... above is the exact same thing I made to presureize my system. The parts are easy to find and it is easy to do. All you got to do is drop by the hardware store.

Re:Boost leak tester parts list?

I used a well plug, or at least that's what I have heard them called. Basically it is two round, tapered steel plates with a bolt and wing nut passing through the center of each. There is a rubber donut between the plates, and as you tighten the wing nut, the paltes are drawn together, and the ruber donut expands outward. It fits inside the turbo intake, and seals really well. They are available at home depot or lowes. I drilled a hole in each plate, and installed a tire valve stem in the outside plate. Used a tire chuck to pressurize the system, and read the pressure with my boost guage.
