I set my timing at 17degrees and love it, I just went by what everyone said and that was between 16-17 degrees. I have to say ask questions and listen to all not just to the first one. Then put it all together and that will more likely be the way to go.

Great ! I have been leaning towards 16 degs, and a #10 plate. Have yet to do it as I do not have the tools to time. Also I do not think my trans will put up with much more than I have now. Hows the tranny acting now? Can you do WOT starts and have the TC lock up ?

I bought my truck a little over a year ago and the tranny had been rebuilt about 35000 miles ago by a local shop which I think did a great job(did some good valve body work of some kind) I did put a new converter in it. I haven't had any problems with the tranny "yet" I think the timing will make a world of differance, put it between 16+17. I can now stomp it from a dead stop and get alot of smoke ( 2 different colors ) Just do GSK and time it to about 16 or so and you'll have a whole new truck. You'll LOVE it I did!!!!!!!!!!!!
