Wink Bombing to begin

Hi guys,
I'm ready to start bombing my '01.
I'm thinking of starting with a 4" stainless exhaust, and an Edge EZ,or the Diablo.
With my auto, will a 1600 stall torque converter, and stiffer valve body hold me for a while?
And who's do you suggest?
Thanks,
Mike

The only thing I didn't see is what should be added first, the gauges. You will want exhaust gas temp, tany temp, and boost pressure. I would also add a fuel pressure tapped at the vp44 to keep an eye on what the lift pump is doing. The lift pumps tend to give us a problem when they quit they take out the very expensive vp-44.
See the sites below check everything out and see what works for you.
Some of these have upgrade kits you should think about. I don’t think the stock seals will hold the higher pressure the kits will provide.

There might be others. Some of these sites have forums to check out. Do your homework; there is a lot of information and opinions out there.
Think about where you want to be HP wise. Then decide on the box, the EZ will have to be set under the hood. If you went with the Edge comp or something like that you can change it on the fly. When the time comes (and it will not take long) when you want more power you can always tap the wire.
That is all I can come up with others will be along to add to this.
Good Luck.

What he said. Also, contact Rip Rook at www.sourceautomotive.biz. He has some good package deals on exhausts/boxes. I also, recommend going straight away to the Comp box. Hook up the wire when you are further down stream after addressing gauges and tranny.

One other area you may want to look at for starters, other than guages, exhaust, and tranny work (all highly recommendable and down right necessary - IMHO) is your air intake.

Depending on where you want to end up in the future, the Scotty is hard to beat. I am currently not running one because I am not sure where I will end up turbo wise and I found the Fleetgaurd BHAF to be a cost effective and safe option.

Good luck, and have fun!

What are you trying to say GSDog1? Me thinks you don't want to invest in the Scotty 2 cause you know that you won't be able to use it if you go to twins but you will be able to use your BHAF.

Hey Racer57:

Guess you kinda got me figured out!

I am looking at a set of twins from either Piers or JR.

I honestly didn't want to put the money into a Scotty knowing I may not use it long term.
