Bolt on generator/auxillary power

Howdy Y'all...
Dodge is runnin awesome, as expected. Awhile back "Trucks" or "HorsePower TV" had a bolt on 10,ooo watt generator kit for a power stroke diesel. It was a pretty kewl deal. But not having a diesel at that time I forgot the name of the company. It was a kit that ran off of the pulley drive system of the motor and was all contained under the hood. After having 2 bolted and locked generator/welders stolen out of the back of my truck it is time to do something else. Thanks for any info and have a great day.
peace... Jeff

J Body..
I have had my 1990 Chev Blazer swiped twice out of the driveway. Club and alarm both times. Got it back both times. Lucky me. Now it lives behind the gate and my dogs sleep in it. Crime here in Az only has an 11% solve rate. Meaning that 89% of the time yer gunna get away with it.. Pretty good odds.

My 01 was broken into in a motel parking lot over in Phoenix. I don't know if they tried to take the truck but I'm glad they didn't, it had my race trailer hooked on. I usually unhook enough stuff under the hood to where they wouldn't get in started anyways. I also had a customer recently that I had to put a new door handle on as it had been damaged when someone tried to break into his CTD while at a restaurant over in the Phoenix area. He said the police man who came out to make a report had said the diesel trucks were disappearing at an alarming rate.

The underhood generator that I have seen is called the Auragen. (I think that's how they spelled it). Looks like a beautiful unit.

I would like to Thank-you for your inquiry regarding the AuraGen._ I am attaching two specification sheets relative to our G5000 and G8500 generators, and they should give you better idea about our various models._
We have engine mount application kits for many vehicles and small vessels, as well as, Power Take-off (PTO) and hydraulic kits._ Our retail prices, including installation, begins at $5500.00 for the G5000 with 120/240v outputs, and go upward to $9800.00 for the G8500 with dual AC and DC capabilities._
I am sending more information via regular mail and it should arrive in a day or two._ It will contain specific information regarding your 24v Cummins diesel, in the 1998 D3500 Dodge._
Once again, I want to Thank-you for your interest in the AuraGen._ If you have any questions I can be contacted at the numbers or email listed below.
Respectfully,
Dave

Here's another idea to look at.

http://www.zena.net/

I've been looking at this as a portable welder and then adding an inverter to run power tools. Has anyone had any experience with it?

BTW, new demo units can be bought on eBay oftentimes.

Thx Jay...
That looks alot more like what I would need and use.. The other is a nice unit.. And if I was doin it as a business I could justify the cost.
As always this list is a wealth of information and help. :-) ...
Have a great 4th of July and be safe... Peace... Jeff

Makes you wonder where all the trucks on Ebay come from. Alot seem to be from AZ or TX.
