Just an opinion. I did it on my 1st gen, I know it's prolly a little different with the 2nd gens, but I wouldn't do it again simply because now when I turn I hear the cab creak . I've used bigger bolts, and bigger washers trying to get it to stop, but it's definately got more flex to it. I haven't broke anything that I can attribute to that though. The fan, I just ditched the shroud and put on a chrome universal top shroud from Jegs. IC tubes fit with longer hoses at the IC connections to account for the bend, (not sure how the 2nd gens are routed though so can't say if it'd work for you too), Transmission cooler lines needed adjusting and I had to weld in a universal joint to the steering shaft, of course that may be different too for the 2nd gens. Took all of maybe 2 hours lol? And I did it myself with an engine hoist and a jack to move the body around with. I just don't like the extra flex I get. And no, there's no rust to weaken the cab lol. If you're just doing a street truck, or even for drags, I think it'd be ok. But if you're going off road,, I wouldn't do it again, panels hit, the whole thing creaks like a dying frog. But my 33's fit lol.
