Alright i blew up the hybrid last sunday. Was driving down the freeway at about 65mph, and 6 lbs of boost, yes only 6. I removed it from the truck and the shaft was snapped in two. I was wondering if any one has any idea pon how to remove the compressor wheel i cant seem to get that little nut lose. Any suggestions, this charger was built and assebled fully by HTT...

 

seems inconceivable to get 6 pounds of boost out of a turbo with a snapped shaft.

 

I'd bet it probably got damaged at an earlier time, like maybe when it was making 45 pounds of boost, but only came apart at this time.

thanks for the quick replies!!!! this charger once upon a time was on my unlces 500+hp, 2003 6 speed so it was prbly cracked from it. i could only make 30 psi with this charger on my 96. And i dont drive rough, but that 03 definatly beat the poop out of it, especially seeing 1500* plus many many times on that 03... I never got above 1200 with it.... man was it smoother than my stocker...

 

mabe ill get creative and turn my hx 35 into a hybrid!!!!! hmmmmmm yes!!!! idears running away now!!! hahahahha lol
