Black rims

Hey fellas, need some advise. I am looking at black rims for my truck, trying to decide whether to go steel or teflon? Teflon are VERY expensive, but not sure if they would be OK in Ohio winters, should not show brake dust near as bad as chrome, and give truck a more tough look. On the other hand, I can get 4 steelies for the price of 1 - 1.5 teflon rims, leaving money for bigger injectors. If you have any pics, or any advice, please feel free to throw it out there. Thanks all.

I like the blacks. The old days Id paint all my spokers or modulars balck and everyone thought it was butt ugly. I musta started a trend. Black looks utilitarian, and mean. I hate chrome, too much work to keep nice. Them teflons are bucks, Id just get the steelies.

On my old 95 V10 Ram I picked up a set of 8 lug gray/rusted steel rims for my studed tires at $25 ea. Sanded and wire wheeld them like crazy, put about 4 coats of black primer on 'em, then 2 coats of spray on bedliner and they looked really good. Ran them for two winters up here, and when I sold them with the truck, they still looked like the day they were painted.
I like the looks of the black fake beadlock type rims you see advertised in all the 4wheel mags.
Go for steel and some EDM injectors !

I put steel 19.5" wheels on my truck, painted black. My friends and family tink the Black-on-Black looks great, kind of sinister, even! Check my gallery for pics. I think done right, they would look sweet on your 2500, too!

Any pics out there of black wheels on a 4x4, maybe a white one? What tires would look good on them? Thinking mudders, though they do not wear well at all.

I was thinking about the same decision for my Jeep. The teflon wheels are the best looking things I have seen but the plain black ones are just so much cheaper. A friend of mine said he knew a guy with teflon's and everytime they got dirty they looked like crap.

I believe the ones from A/R are teflon coated. They are quite pricey, around $200 per.
