Cattle Hauler..on yours being a 99 the 235 is max unless you change the rims to the 01's....might I suggest you look at the Mich. XPS in traction...a little pricey but a damnn tuff tire..steel sidewalls that do not flex on loaded conditions [and I know you run loaded regularly]..better handeling in the mountain roads also as the don't roll over on the edges..takes a few miles to break them in as they feel like your on your finger tips till they lay down..but well worth the extra $$ IMHO..got 60K moles out of mine an I drive it like a slot car in the mountains I live in...I do not wear them out I grind them off..the first set of factory Mich. I got 25k on for compairson..[this was on my old rig 98.5..have them now on my 01 also.]

I wonder what a set of rims would cost?

A Friend of mine David Gresh has 285/75/16 on his dually and drives it a lot when it is together

Look nice, aggressive tread, and E-rated. I think you'd like them.

Re:Biggest tires on a 3500

CH been there done that. I'm still hunting for heaver tires for my 98.5 Dodge. My problem is that it is not a duely. Your best bet is look at the Richson sight (www.ricksontruck.com). He is pushing the 19.5 wheels. A good tire for you would be the 225/70R19.5 in 12 or 14 ply. Duels are 3415# & 4300?per tire and only 32' dia. This would only be .2 more than the 265/75R16. And this is the smallest tire he has. They go up from there. My problem for me is he has the only single rear wheel that I can find. For you there are a lot of people who make wheels for duels.
