Is that a 1/2 ton axle spinning those meats? 4x4 still work?

I have a 5" suspension and a 3" body lift and I'm running 38's......40's would fit no problem.

DC long arms= $500
SJ Extreme Drop Pitman= $170
ThurenFab Tack-Bar= $300
Full throttle 10" springs= $200
SJ T-case indexing ring= $200
Lift springs of your choice for the back= < $400
36" Pro-Comp shocks= 4x $30

There's a descent, less than 2K lift. You can get dual shocks and ThurenFab crossover steering (which I HIGHLY RECCOMEND) for not much more $$'s. This is also assuming you have tools and can do the install, which includes welding, yourself.

yup 1/2 ton axles with 513 gears and yes, all the lift kits from full throttle use 4X4 drive. if they sold a kit that wouldnt allow you to use 4x4, i would be against it.

I'm not a big fan of big lifts, if people want that great, it's just not my thing, but I can't stand to see the trucks missing the front driveshaft. All show, no go. There are several like that around Tulsa. Has he ever snaped the rear shafts?

I wasn't trying to jack the thread, I now return yall to the original discussion. Unless something else comes into my little head

ha ha like that post lol. nope never snaped any shafts just 1 ujoint and 2 trannys. he drives his truck just like i do, there is no gas pedal, just an on and off switch. i am like you , i cant stand when people lift a 2wd truck or even a 4x4 and take the shaft out. its so stupid.

Hey leave me alone! I don't have the money for the indexing ring to put my driveshaft back in.

thats different, you say you just dont have the money right now to do it. there are some kits out there that make it impossible to put it in, no matter how much you extend it. just to big of an angle, then you have the people that thinks its cool to lift a 2wd truck. thats like wiping before you edited by admin. it just dont make sense.

Glad ya liked it. I was trying not to sound like a jerk A big lift would drive me nuts the way I use my truck, but I don't use yours There is a guy around here that has a Chevy 1500 with 44s and no X-fer case. He does have the super cool 4x4 stickers though!

Thats good about the shafts, but no so good to hear about the tranny.

I agree. Most of us need supporting mods to get to where we want to be with our trucks, I was referring to the guys with no plans to put a shaft in. Or kits that don't allow it.

I did alot of research on lifts befor I bought mine. I run a 4.5" skyjacker and clear 11" wide and 39" tall tires no problem. (there are pictures) But from what I was reading the best lifts for our trucks seem to be a 7" skyjacker front box kit and indexing ring, dick cepek long arm control arm kit, altlas springs rear leaf package, billstine shocks, I'd also suggest solid steels DSS, 03 trac bar conversion and adjustable trac bar.

Yeah DSS is definately needed, I've been thru 3 boxes. I would just get a ThurenFab trac-bar though.
